Day 1

International Airport in Beijing. Guide
meeting at the Airport and transferring
to the hotel, rest of the time free
at leisure, overnight in hotel.

Day 2

Beijing - Breakfast
in hotel, departure by coach to explore
this capital city, the cultural center
of China, going to the central part
of the city and visiting the World's
largest Tian'anmen Square, which can
hold half a million people at one time.
There are main historical structures
standing around the square: the Great
Hall of the People, the Historical Museum,
Tian'anmen Gate, Chairman Mao's Memorial
Hall and the Qianmen Tower, which used
to be the old city gate in ancient times.
Afterwards you will continue to tour
the famous Imperial Palace Museum (Known
as the Forbidden City), where the Chinese
Emperors conducted State Affairs and
lived with the royal family members.
Lunch will be in the local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will visit the
Temple of Heaven Park, where the Emperors
prayed for good harvest every year.
The buildings show the typical style
of Chinese architecture. You will continue
the visit to the famous Yonghegong Lama
Temple, built as the mansion of Qing
Emperor, Yongzheng, and it contains
a 75 feet high Maitreya carved with
a single white sandalwood tree brought
from Tibet. After dinner in the local
restaurant, you will enjoy the exciting
Chinese Acrobatic Show, overnight in
hotel.

Day 3

Beijing - Breakfast
in hotel, departure for the Great Wall
(47 miles by driving), a famous defense
work built more than 2000 years ago
yet still in very good condition. It
is said to be the only man made structure
can be seen from the moon. Lunch will
be at local restaurant. In the afternoon,
you will go to visit the Ming Tombs,
where 13 Emperors from the Ming Dynasty
were buried. Many precious excavations
unearthed are on display in the exhibition
hall. Afterwards, you will drive back
to the city, enjoying delicious Peking
Duck Dinner, overnight in hotel.

Day 4

Beijing-Xian (By Domestic
Flight around 2 hours) Breakfast in
hotel.,in the morning, you will visit
the most beautiful Summer Palace where
the imperial family spent leisure times
in the past. Lunch will be at local
restaurant. In the afternoon, you will
discover the Old Beijing by a Hutong
Tour, taking rickshaw for a 2-hrs. En-route
to visit 700-year-old Drum Tower; Yingding
Bridge, Old quadrangles inhabited by
Beijing residents; Prince Gong's Palace
and enjoying a cup of tea for leisure.
You will take afternoon flight for Xi'an.
The local guide in Xi'an will meet you
and transfer for dinner upon your arrival
in Xi'an, once the ancient capital of
China's dynasties and the start point
of the Silk Road. You will check in
hotel after dinner, stay overnight in
hotel.

Day 5

Xi'an - Breakfast in
hotel, you will take a full day tour
by coach to visit the Qin Dynasty Terracotta
Warriors, 7000 life-sized figures on
exhibition at funeral vault of the First
Emperor of Qin Dynasty. Lunch will be
at local restaurant. In the afternoon,
you will continue the tour to visit
Huaqing Hot Spring Back to hotel for
refreshment if time is available. You
will enjoy Dinner Show of Tang Dynasty
Songs and Dances in the theater restaurant.
Back to hotel afterwards, stay overnight
in hotel.

Day 6

Xi'an-Shanghai (By Domestic
Flight around 2 hours) Breakfast in
hotel, you will take morning tour to
visit the well-known ancient City Wall,
Bell Tower and the Provincial Museum.
You will take afternoon flight for Shanghai
after lunch. The local guide will pick
you up and transfer to the city upon
your arrival in Shanghai, called as
the "Paris of the Orient" and the "Pearl
Of China." which is also the image of
the city most recognizable in the West.
You will take a Bund tour to take some
unforgettable photos to see the great
changes with so many modern high-raises
standing across the Huangpu River, while
this Bund located by the waterfront
is at the same time showcasing the architecture
of pre-1949. You will check in hotel
after dinner out, stay overnight in
hotel.

Day 7

Shanghai-Suzhou-Zhouzhuang
Water Village (by coach around 5 hours
round way) After Breakfast in hotel,
you will have a full day visit to Suzhou,
a beautiful South China city with traditional
Chinese Gardens. The places you are
going to visit are the Humble Administrators
Garden and Panmen. The tour will be
ended by visiting the Silk Factory to
see how the silk fabric is processed
with the cocoons. This is supposed to
be the best place to buy silk fashions
and handmade quilts. Lunch will be in
local restaurant. In the afternoon,
you will continue the tour to the Zhouzhuang
Water Village to have a relaxing cruise
over the zigzag river in the village.
After coming back to Shanghai in the
evening you will have a farewell dinner
at a seafood restaurant from where you
can over look the night view of the
Bund. Your return drive will take you
through Xin Tian Di, the popular district
of nightlife with many restaurants and
bars flanking the street, overnight
in hotel.

Day 8

Shanghai - Nanjing (By
domestic train around 3 hours) Breakfast
in hotel, you will visit the most highlights
that should not be missed when seeing
this city. Your visit will begin with
the visit to Jade Buddha Temple and
Yuyuan Garden, strolling around those
beauties created during the Ming Dynasty.
The tour will be ending by walking along
the Shanghai Old Street, which is like
going back in the days of the Qing Dynasty.
After lunch, you will take afternoon
train to Nanjing, which is the capital
of Jiangsu Province located at the eastern
part of China and an important central
city on the middle and lower reaches
of the Yangtze River. In history, Nanjing
City is the capital of 10 dynasties,
also known as "Jinling" and "Stone City"
etc. It was named Nanjing in Ming dynasty,
being called "Ning" for short till today.
You will be greeted by the local guide
at the train station upon your arrival.
You will visit the Yangtze River Bridge
in Nanjing and the old city wall, Taicheng
on the way to hotel. Dinner will be
arranged in a local restaurant, overnight
in hotel.

Day 9

Nanjing - Breakfast
in hotel, departure by coach to take
a full day tour to visit Dr. Sun Yat-sen's
Mausoleum, in which Dr. Sun was buried
in 1929. Sun has been respected as the
Father of Modern China since he fought
unyieldingly against the corrupt Qing
government and led the 1911 revolution
to end the feudal system and found the
Republic of China, leading Chinese people
into a new era. He died in 1925 in Beijing.
In the afternoon, you will go to visit
the Ming Tomb of Xiaoling Mausoleum
which was the tomb of the founder of
Ming Dynasty, Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang
His tomb was built from the year of
1381 till 1405, taking 100 thousand
labors 25 years with huge amount of
expenditure. The next stop will be at
the Linggu Temple, which is famous for
its Beamless Hall built in 1381 A.D.
in the Ming Dynasty. Inside the entrance
there was a secluded footpath with thousands
of pine trees, verdant and luxuriant,
so it was called the "valley of Spirit
Deep in Pines". When one gets onto the
topmost storey and gaze into the distance,
one can get a view of the entire mausoleum
area. The tour will be ended by visiting
the Nanjing Museum, which is one of
the pioneers in museum building in China
established in 1933. This museum is
centralized with the national treasure
of the first class in the amounts of
two hundred thousand to three hundred
thousand, including " the portrait of
emperors and empresses in the past dynasties.
Lunch and Dinner will be arranged in
local restaurants during the excursion
hours. Back to hotel when the tour is
completed, stay overnight in hotel.

Nanjing -
Xiamen (by Domestic Flight around 1.5
hours) Breakfast in hotel, you will take
the morning flight for the next city,
Xiamen by domestic flight, departure for
the airport according to the flight schedule.
Your local guide in Xiamen will meet you
upon your arrival. Lunch will be in a
local restaurant. You will have afternoon
tour to visit White Egret Square. Check
in hotel after dinner in a local restaurant,
stay overnight in hotel. |

Xiamen -
Quanzhou - Xiamen (by coach around 3 hours
round way) Breakfast in hotel, departure
for a full day tour to Quanzhou by driving
over 80 kms away from Xiamen for over
one hour. You will have the excursion
to visit Kaiyuan Temple, Tianhou Palace
and Cai`s Ancient Residential Buildings,
which are regarded as the wonder of the
buildings. After lunch you will go back
to Xiamen and visit South Putuo Temple
which has a history of one thousand years,
Huli Hill Fort and Golden Beach where
you can see the Island still belongs to
Kuomintang of Taiwan. Lunch and dinner
will be arranged in local restaurants.
Back to hotel after the tour is ended,
stay overnight in hotel. |
