N. Viti Levu, sometimes referred to as the Sunshine Coast, is the area on the main island, and the least developed. Much of the area is rural sugar cane farms beyond which are inaccessible mountains. The place to visit is Nananu-i-Ra Island. The small island has some lovely beaches and excellent scuba diving.
